This is a Mitsubishi 4G63 turbo bellhousing attached to a W55 Toyota trans

Some guy in California was struggling to find a decent adaptor plate to mount a w 55 toyota trans up to a 4G63 Mitsubishi torbo engine for his rock crawler,

soooooooo  you know grandpa..........he can't turn down a challenge.

Clean and simple adaptor that only requires a saw and a hole saw
I spent some more time developing the idea

After I had built the original adaptor plate I realized  it would only work on lower horse power ratings, So for safety I started thinking about a thicker wall bellhousing that would be safe for higher outputs

I built a pattern out of sheet metal so I could shape it with bondo and resize the whole thing to except the ' shrinkage' of casting

The starter location bothered me the most, thats why I had stayed away from changing the original housing, but the location was finally in the proper place and the pattern was sent out for casting

I built a complete new housing from sheet metal to clean up its looks
I kept working the shape inside and out for looks and strength
Jig work done on bellhousing to drill it 8/8/2006
DRILLED HOUSINGS mounted and tested 8/21/2006

Drilled , milled and mounted first bellhousing ready for delivery  8/31/2006

completed housing

            WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its all come true, this has taken two years on and off again of drawing, learning, sanding, sanding and sanding, pattern making, casting, welding and experimenting....Finaly !

this is a nice thick wall unit that fits the w series Toyota transmission to the 4G 63 Mits engine.......................................and it all works >;o)

guide pins are included
well built and strong
